This helicopter was seen together with the Super Puma F-ZVLQ in Kalmar in November 1986. It was probably visiting Sweden for evaluation purposes since the Swedish Materiel Administration (FMV) purchased several Super Pumas only a couple of years later. The first two of a total of 12 machines were delivered in 1988. The helicopter type entered service with the Swedish Air Force as rescue helicopter and was given the designation HKP 10.

This was the fourth Super Puma in the AS 332 production line (except the two prototypes). The machine was the very first stretched Super Puma (AS 332L). It was later converted to the new military 'M' version. However in 1991 it was converted to a L-1. F-WZJN made its first flight (registered F-WIPE) on 10 October 1980.
