This helicopter was constructed in 1979 and was first operated in the US and in Norway before it found its way to Sweden in 1990. The helicopter was purchased from Norwegian Airlift by Swedish Idre based Viking Helikopter AB and came to be operated by Skyline Helikopter AB.

It was mainly used for heavy lifts and fire-fighting - with a capacity of 2000 litres of water per drop. SE-HVT was operated in Sweden for three years before it was exported to Germany and the company Agrarflug Helilift GmbH in late 1993. Skyline Helikopter was very satisfied with a helicopter the size of the Huey and purchased a new one (SE-JJK) in 2005.
