This aircraft was manufactured in 1980 and imported to Sweden in early-1981 (brand new) by the Stockholm based Bell dealer Ostermans Aero AB. The aircraft was operated by Ostermans before it was sold to a company in Ystad in June of 1987, but was returned to Ostermans within a few weeks. The helicopter was leased to the Swedish National Police in 1988. It was later leased to the Swedish Army for pilot training in 1991-1993 (marked 83 - 06283).

SE-HKK was operated by Osterman Helicopter in Gothenburg between 1994 and 1997 (used by the police in 1994).

The helicopter was acquired by Arctic Air in 1997. The company focuses in tourist operations and local aerial work from its base in the village of Vuoggatjålme, east of Arjeplog (northern Sweden).
