The company will also need an Operating License (OL) if the flight is going to be other than local. The authority has no public lists with approved JAR-OPS 3 operators, but they have two lists over companies with valid OLs (click here and here).

Aerial works
Pure aerial works companies do not need the approvals mentioned above - they can operate with a national aerial work permit (LFS 2007:49). However, the most JAR-OPS 3 operators have an aerial work section included in their approvals. There are no public lists with all these operators, but we have them listed here. Call the Transport Agency (+46 771 503 503) to verify their validity.

Mora Helikopter (retired)

Mora Helikopter was established in 1975, the same year as the Mora based company AB Helikoptertjänst was purchased by the Borlänge company Sterner Aero.

Mora Helikopter started its activity with a Hughes 300, but the company grew rapidly and several brand new aircraft were incorporated in the fleet.

The company was one of the first operators in Sweden to import an AS 350 "Ecureuil". The aircraft (SE-HHS) held a close competition with Jämtlands Aero's SE-HIA for the position, but HHS was stuck in Basel (Switzerland) due to poor weather and HIA won. Mora Helikopter's Ecureuil was modified to an EMS helicopter (ambulance) for demo purposes.

The company was acquired by Sterner Aero in 1980.
