Click here for more info If you are going for a taxi- or a sightseeing flight, make sure that the company you choose has a valid JAR-OPS 3 approval issued by the Swedish Transport Agency. The company will also need an Operating License (OL) if the flight is going to be other than local. The authority has no public lists with approved JAR-OPS 3 operators, but they have two lists over companies with valid OLs (click here and here).

Aerial works
Pure aerial works companies do not need the approvals mentioned above - they can operate with a national aerial work permit (LFS 2007:49). However, the most JAR-OPS 3 operators have an aerial work section included in their approvals. There are no public lists with all these operators, but we have them listed here. Call the Transport Agency (+46 771 503 503) to verify their validity.

Heli-Trans (retired)

Heli-Trans was established at Säve Airport in Gothenburg back in 1987. It started its activity with two retired Navy Alouette IIs, which were operated by Osterman Helicopter for a couple of years. Eventually, Heli-Trans took over the operation of the Alouettes. It added a Jet Ranger to the fleet in 1988.

The company was retired in 1994, as the fleet had been phased out gradually.
