Make sure that the company you choose has a valid approval issued by the Transport Agency.

If you are going for a taxi- or a sightseeing flight, make sure that the company you choose has a valid JAR-OPS 3 approval issued by the Swedish Transport Agency. The company will also need an Operating License (OL) if the flight is going to be other than local. The authority has no public lists with approved JAR-OPS 3 operators, but they have two lists over companies with valid OLs (click here and here).

Aerial works
Pure aerial works companies do not need the approvals mentioned above - they can operate with a national aerial work permit (LFS 2007:49). However, the most JAR-OPS 3 operators have an aerial work section included in their approvals. There are no public lists with all these operators, but we have them listed here. Call the Transport Agency (+46 771 503 503) to verify their validity.

History Heli i Arjeplog has its roots in the old company Turistflyg i Arjeplog, which was established in the 60's by David Sundström, Per Dahlberg, Per-Axel Andersson. The company was acquired by the Linköping company Heli AB in 1985-1986, and got incorporated in the joint venture Heliflyg in 1988.
The Arjeplog division was made independent in 1992 (Heliflyg i Arjeplog), as Mr Rolf Sundberg took over after several years as a pilot in the company. It took the new name Heli i Arjeplog AB.
