Heli AB (retired)
Heli AB was the new name for Heliflyg Nordic, which had been established by the acquisition of Hyr-Flyg G Pihl in 1983. The refurbished company was established through the merge of Fjällflyg i Kiruna, Scandinavian Heliservice, Turistflyg i Arjeplog and Svensk Värmebild. It had its main base in Linköping, but operated all over Sweden. It was involved in the EMS helicopter trials in Visby (Gotland) over the summer of 1987, utilizing the BO 105 SE-HSG.
1988 saw the birth of the joint venture Heliflyg, which was a development of Heli AB. Sterner Aero was acquired by Heli AB (which hereby became Heliflyg) on 4 july 1988. The operations were gradually transferred to Heliflyg, but the merge into the new operation took nearly six years.
