Northern Helicopters is a young and fast-growing flight school based in Jönköping. It offers PPL, CPL, Type Ratings and FI training with a fresh range of aircraft - Schweizer 300, Guimbal Cabri G2 and Eurocopter Colibri. The main facility is located at the airport in Jönköping, where it offers student accommodation and ground school. Northern Helicopters offers commercial operations through its Romanian company Northern Helicopters International SRL.

Northern Helicopters was established as a flight school back in 2008. The school started its operations in Jönköping (instead of Halmstad, which was meant in the beginning). The fleet was rapidly expanded and the amount of students grew by the week. Northern Helicopters became the first Scandinavian operator of the Cabri G2 in mid-2010. The school opened a new facility at the airport in Västerås in late-2010. In mid-2011 the company established a JAR-OPS company in Romania, through which it offers commercial operations in Sweden with its Bell Jet Ranger YR-MRA (ex. SE-JNI).
