Arctic Air is a well-experienced company with its heart in Vuoggatjålme, near the Norwegian boarder west of Arjeplog, in the northern part of Sweden. The company is focused in tourism and various aerial work operations. It is engaged in a partnership with Norrhelikopter AB, which is focused in a wide range of operations - including sling-load operations, tourism and reindeer mustering.

The company started as HB Fjällfrakt (later Fjällfrakt i Arjeplog) and was targeting all areas for transport, not only flight transport, untill 1989 when the company changed name to Arctic Air and started focusing solely on the flight market. The company earlier had an airplane which explains the plane in the logotype. The former co-owners of Flygtjänst o Helikoptertransport teamed up with Arctic Air in April of 2011. The company Norrhelikopter was incorporated as a branch of Arctic Air and two Schweizer 300s were added to the fleet. A MD500 and a Long Ranger, both belonging to Norrhelikopter i Vilhelmina AB, were adopted into the fleet in the early summer of 2011.
