These photos were taken during a training sortie in the winter of ~1997. The batch of images were sent in by mr Seth Olofsson, a former EMS pilot, to Nordic Rotors back in 2002. They were shot by Nacka Fire Department.
This is a rare type of rescue operation that is performed in real-life situations a few times each winter in order to save lives by a rapid extraction from the ice cold water. The photos were taken while training for a mission like that.
