Two 18 years old teenagers from Stockholm had been injured when falling in a slope on the southern part of the mountain. Kallax Flyg's Ecureuil (SE-HMM) was called in to bring the mountain rescue team from Kiruna and to get the girls down from the mountain. After a swift repositioning onto the EMS helicopter Lifeguard 998 (operated by Norrlandsflyg) the girls were flown to the hospital in Gällivare.

With a crew of four the helicopter responded to approx 400-500 emergency calls each year, all over northen Sweden. It operated in an environment where long distances, cold temperatures and isolated areas are common.
The EMS contract in Norrbotten was lost favor for Scandinavian MediCopter in 2010. The new operator started its activities with a Eurocopter Dauphin (LN-OLE, but later SE-JIA) on 1st of December the same year. SE-JUS was transferred to Norrlandsflyg's main base in Gothenburg.
The helicopter was acquired by Norrlandsflyg Ambulans when the new company took over Norrlandsflyg's air ambulance service in Gothenburg on 1 November 2011. Norrlandsflyg had just been purchased by the Swedish Maritime Administration and was transitioning into a fully dedicated search and rescue operator.
