This helicopter was constructed at the Canadian Bell Helicopter plant in Montreal back in 2013. It was shipped to Europe in December 2013, where it was completed at the European Bell Service center in Prague.

The aircraft had been ordered by Scandinavian MediCopter following the assignment of the new Helicopter Emergency Medical Service contract in Visby, Gotland.

SE-JRC, formerly C-GWEG, was accepted in the Swedish registry on 11 February 2014. It was delivered to Scandinavian MediCopter's main base in Östersund on 26 March.

It left Östersund for Visby, via Uppsala, on 15 April 2014. The all-yellow aircraft entered service as Mediflight 5910 at Scandinavian MediCopter's HEMS base at Visby Airport on 23 April, replacing the temporary EC145 LN-OOQ (a stand-in aircraft for SE-JJC).

The Bell 429 served for a few weeks prior to being withdrawn due the helicopter type's limited payload acceptance within the European Union. The earlier EC145 was repositioned to Visby in order to cover for the Bell 429, which was unable to perform the inter hospital transports between the island and the mainland due to the weight issues. The Bell 429 was replaced by the EC145 (soon to be registered SE-JRO) on a permanent basis in May 2014.

SE-JRC was sold to France in November 2015.
