The Swedish Air Force base F16 (with reduced activity since 2003) took about 160 000 visitors on that day. It is comparable only with Malmen 2016 which was arranged as two-days event.

Information about SE-JRB
Aircraft Data
Reg: SE-JRB
S/N: 6782
Year: 2007
Type:
Last known operator:
History:
F-WQDR, A6-SBK
Fate:
It was flown to Östersund (Sweden) via Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Doha (Qatar), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Al Hail (Saudi Arabia), Al Wajh (Saudi Arabia), Taba (Egypt), El Arish (Egypt), Pafos (Cyprus), Rhodos (Greece), Mykonos (Greece), Korfu/Kerkyra (Greece), Pescara (Italy), Bolzano (Italy), Leipzig/Halle (Germany), Malmö (Sweden) and Mora (Sweden). The route did also cross the countries Bahrain and Austria. The aircraft was manned by a crew of three - Andreas Hjert, Mikael Djupsö and Mats Hansson (technician).
The aircraft went through an extensive ambulance retrofit in Östersund, preparing it for its new life in northern Sweden. The make-over, which involved a new livery (the same colors as SE-JIB), was finished in February 2012.
Entering service
Registered SE-JRB, the new helicopter replaced SE-JIA as primary EMS helicopter in Gällivare (Mediflight 5990) in early March 2012. SE-JIA took the role as general back-up aircraft in Scandinavian MediCopter.
On 30 November 2016 Scandinavian MediCopter changed its name to Babcock Scandinavian AirAmbulance as part of a global branding synchronization with the owner Babcock International Group. The new profile included a new logotype, but the operation and the structure of the company remained the same.
Retirement
On 21 March 2018 SE-JRB was formally replaced by a brand-new Leonardo AW169, SE-JSG. The new aircraft was part of a huge investment to renew the EMS helicopter fleet in northern Sweden. SE-JRB soon left Vassara Helipad in Gällivare, which itself was due for closure as the EMS unit was about to move to a newly built base at the Gällivare Airport.
