SE-JON was operated by EastAir until the spring of 2014, when it joined Roslagens Helikopterflyg. The aircraft was mainly used for commercial air transports.
The helicopter was sold to Germany in March-April 2017. It was purchased by the operator Motorflug, which intends to commence a four-year licensed flight training for the armed forces under the name "Internationales Hubschrauberausbildungszentrum" in Buckeburg.
According to Helihub, the company won the contract in December 2016. The basic pilot training contract comes after the German military made the decision to discontinue using Bo 105s. The current fleet of EC135/EC635 was considered too complex for entry level training. A total of six Jet Rangers will be used for the training, and all of them will carry a standardized avionics package.
