This aircraft was constructed by the newly established manufacturer Eurocopter back in 1993. It spent its first years in Japan, before obtaining an American registration in 1997. It was operated in Norway, stationed in Gardemoen.

The helicopter was formally imported to Sweden by Bear Flight AB in October 2002. It was exported to Norway as LN-OBW seven months later.

The helicopter was operated in Norway, again, for a bit more than a decade before it returned to Sweden. It was operated by Pegasus Helikopter, and was put in service with the Norwegian Police (Politi) in 2003-2004.

LN-OBW joined the Gothenburg flight school Northern Helicopters in late 2013, and it came to be used as a local IFR trainer. It kept the Norwegian registration for some time, before it was transferred to the Swedish register as SE-JMA in February 2015.

SE-JMA was used for IFR training at Säve Airport for the rest of 2015. It was returned to its Norwegian owner in December 2015, and was officially cancelled in the Swedish aircraft register in February 2016.
