Information about SE-JLZ
SE-JLZ was purchased by Jämtlands Flyg AB in mid-2001. It was first registered F-WWPC by Eurocopter in France for trials at the factory, but was registered SE-JLZ on June 6 the same year. The machine was purchased as an replacement for the temporary EC 120 (SE-JMZ) the company had used for a year.
SE-JLZ came to be based at Göviken heliport in the central parts of Östersund. It was mainly used for air taxi, reindeer herding, inventory flights and power line inspections.
In February 2019, Jämtlands Flyg announced that the company was to close down its operations in mid March the same year. The company declared that the controlled closure was due to decreasing profitability and stricter regulations.
The company had one AS350 (SE-JGZ), two EC120s (SE-JHZ & SE-JLZ), and two R44s (SE-JJZ & SE-JLM) when it closed its operations. The aircraft was subsequently offered for sale.
SE-JLZ was sold to HeliScan AS in Norway in June 2019. HeliScan acquired Jämtlands Flyg's Östersund-Göviken base, and let LN-OYM remain in Östersund for its Swedish operations, together with the two R44s (now LN-OYK and LN-OYD) and the second EC120 (now LN-OYL).
