History:
JA9891, SE-JFL, LN-ODR
Fate:
The helicopter went through a 12-year G-check inspection and was soon sold to Helikopter Utleie AS in Norway, where it was registered LN-ODR. The helicopter was later upgraded to a B2 standard by Patria Helicopters in Stockholm, Sweden.
LN-ODR was dry leased to the Swedish company Osterman Helicopter AB in July 2007. It was formally imported to Sweden as SE-JFL in mid 2008, purchased by Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken and operated by Osterman. SE-JFL was used for a wide range of jobs, including air taxi, liming and sling-load operations.
SE-JFL was transferred into the refurbished company Osterman Helicopter i Östersund AB's fleet in December 2011. The former owner went bankrupt shortly thereafter.
The new company was active for roughly 10 months before it, too, went bankrupt on 4 September 2012. SE-JFL was transported to Aeroservice i Karlskoga's maintenance facility in Karlskoga, where it came to be stored following the bankruptcy.
The helicopter, which had accumulated approximately 5270 hours by now, had been stripped of several vital parts prior to the storage in Karskoga, why it had to go through a major overhaul if it were to to regain an airworthy condition.
Helicraft Nordflyg Service, who had recently purchased Aeroservice i Karlskoga, started the refurbishment job. As the Karlskoga maintenance base was closed, Helicraft moved the aircraft to the main base at Skavsta Airport in Nyköping.
The makeover was eventually taken over by Patria Helicopters, who moved the aircraft to Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, in the spring of 2015. Patria made a G-check and a total makeover, including new servos, new interior and a new livery.
