S/N: 53145
Year: 1997
Last known operator:
C-GAEP, N72243
This aircraft was constructed by Bell Helicopter Textron Inc back in 1997. The the helicopter was active as N72243, owned by the Texas-based manufacturer, between 15 May and 10 October the same year, before it was sold to Sweden.

The aircraft was put on display at the large Helitech helicopter exhibition in Redhill, close to London in England, on its way to Sweden. It arrived in Stockholm in early October 1997, purchased by the private owner Black Hawk Helicopters AB. The helicopter became the second Bell 407 stationed in in Sweden, after Lapplandsflyg's SE-JEB, and the third 407 in the Swedish register (after SE-JCL).

The helicopter was soon incorporated in Arlanda Helicopter's fleet, where it came to be used for corporate transports and utility works all around Sweden. It was initially stationed in a hangar at Arlanda Airport, but it was later moved to the main base in Åkersberga.

One of the more famous persons to fly in SE-JEX was the Rolling Stones star Mick Jagger, who hired the helicopter back in July 2003.

The helicopter was formally purchased by Arlanda Helicopter in March 2004.

SE-JEX was sold to France in the summer of 2014.
