SE-JEP
Information about SE-JEP
This early EC 120 was manufactured by Eurocopter at the French plant in Marginane in late 1998. It was delivered to Sweden in late January 1999, registered SE-JEP in early February by the Swedish Eurocopter dealer of that time - Karlebo Aviation AB - and purchased by Osterman Helicopter AB. Two months later, in late March, Gothenburg-based estate owner G.G.W.F. Förvaltnings AB acquired the helicopter. However it stayed in service with Osterman Helicopter AB, leased from the estate owner.
Osterman operated the aircraft for several years but decided to return the helicopter to its owner as the Osterman management and ownership changed in 2002. The aircraft was privately owned, but came to be hired by both Osterman Helicopter and Jämtlandsflyg throughout the years.
SE-JEP went through a major "G inspection" at Scandinavian Airtech's maintenance facility in Borlänge. It later returned to Gothenburg.
The helicopter came to be used as a pilot training aircraft from 2013, operated by Svensk Pilotutbildning (SPU). It left Svensk Pilotutbildning's fleet in the summer of 2015, purchased by a private owner in Stockholm. It was replaced by its former sister ship at Osterman Helicopter, SE-JMP.
Once in Stockholm, the aircraft went through a major make-over, which included a new livery.
SE-JEP joined the helicopter operator, and flight school, Hummingbird Aviation Services in May 2016. The company is stationed at Bromma Airport in Stockholm.
In April 2017 Hummingbird Aviation Services opened a partnershop with Stockholms Helikoptertjänst in order to increase their redundancy as well as to facilitate commercial air transport and specialized operations for the two companies. This due to the companies' distinct focus in their respective business area. As a result of this, SE-JEP was added to SHTAB's fleet parallel to being operated by Hummingbird.
