Information about SE-HEL
This helicopter was purchased new by Norrlandsflyg AB in November 1972. It was operated by Norrlandsflyg for many years, but was replaced by Ecureuil helicopters in the 90's.
The aircraft has stayed in northern Sweden and has been operated by various companies in northern Sweden since it was sold from Norrlandsflyg, including Bodens Helikopterflyg, Airlift Helicopter Sweden, VIP Air, Norr-helikopter, Helikoptertjänst i Kittelfjäll.
It was operated by Lapplandsflyg/Lap-Air AB between 2001 and 2011. In April 2012 Lapplandsflyg announced its retirement, after 59 years in service. Lapplandsflyg was the oldest existing helicopter company in Sweden at the time of its shutdown. The operations were terminated in the early summer of 2012. Lapplandsflyg's fleet of five helicopters (three Jet Rangers and two Long Rangers) were offered for sale, and SE-HEL was purchased by Walthers Flygservice AB in 2013.
SE-HEL was scrapped by Walthers Flygservice AB in mid 2013.
