2007-11-22 The machine was operated by the company in nearly 30 years before it was sold to a couple of private persons in Stockholm. As one of the persons, Mr Richard Ziverts, soon established the company Stockholms Helikoptertjänst AB the machine rapidly became a member in the new company's fleet. The helicopter was mainly used for moose- & forest inventories and photographic flights.
Independent sources have stated that this was by far one of the best maintained B-models of the Hughes 269 remaining in the world. The machine was basically as good as new, with good remainings on all important and expensive components.
SE-HCM was destroyed in a non-fatal accident during a moose inventory flight at Grundagssätern, Idre. The aircraft lost engine power during take-off, due to loose material blocking the exhaust pipe from inside, and was forced to make an emergency landing. The helicopter gained a total of 10 231,6 hours. The wreckage was brought to Dala Airport in Borlänge.
