The aircraft belongs to the first batch of four NH90s (HKP 14) delivered to the Helicopter Wing by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration. A total of 18 NH90s will be delivered.

This NH90 was the first HKP 14 to be handed over to the Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, following extensive trials. The first flight in service with the Heli Wing took took place on April 12 2011.
The aircraft was delivered as a B model, but it will eventually be modified to an E model.
